TADİV’S APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC

We are following with concern the unfair and disproportionate social media campaign against Azerbaijan, prompted by an Azerbaijani representative remaining in the hall during a meeting at the United Nations.
Targeting an entire country because one member of Azerbaijan’s sizeable delegation remained in the hall, and attempting to discredit brotherly Azerbaijan by taking the matter out of context, is incompatible with fairness and the mutual respect that friendship demands.
Relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan transcend day-to-day debates and social media campaigns. They are rooted in a shared history, mutual trust and the principle of “one nation, two states.” It is our collective responsibility to respond with sound judgment, fairness and a sense of responsibility to rhetoric aimed at undermining this bond of brotherhood.
TADİV calls on the public to refrain from giving credence to unverified interpretations and sweeping accusations, and to uphold the bonds of brotherhood and the principles of fairness in the face of unjust attacks on Azerbaijan.
